Carmen Dymanus

I am a PhD candidate in Political Communication at Wageningen University & Research, the Netherlands. My research focuses on how citizens understand and respond to online political campaigns and (targeted) advertising, and how to strengthen their literacy through practical interventions. This project is part of a bigger ERC-funded project “Hunting for Voters”. In my research, I combine both quantitative and qualitative methods in my research (e.g. surveys, experiments and focus groups).

I obtained my a Research Master’s in Political Science at the University of Amsterdam (2022). Here, I developed a strong interest in political sociology, understanding citizens’ attitudes, and patterns of participation.
